Scialog: Neurobiology & Changing Ecosystems

ADC-NiCE members were thrilled to attend the first of three Scialog meetings focused on Neurobiology and Changing Ecosystems, cosponsored by Research Corporation, The Paul G. Allen Frontiers Group, the Frederick Gardner Cottrell Foundation, and The Kavli Foundation.

This event brought together a diverse, multidisciplinary group of early-career scientists—from chemists and physicists to climate scientists, neurobiologists, and behavioral ecologists. Their mission was to develop innovative, high-risk/high-impact project proposals with the potential to shift paradigms and drive world-changing discoveries. The ultimate goal is to better understand how organisms can adapt and remain resilient in the face of anthropogenic environmental changes.

We were honored to be part of this uniquely practical, exciting, and highly collaborative event. A special honor was the opportunity for our fearless ADC-NiCE leader, Martin Tresguerres, to kick off breakout discussions as a keynote speaker. Special thanks to all the organizers for making this inspiring and forward-thinking event possible!
